I've been out every weekend pretty much, and it definitely handles some rougher water well for a 28. It's also very easy to drive, gets on plane easy, etc.... I've been real happy.

Hopefully I'll remember and call performance marine tomorrow and see what the deal is on the vents.

Oh man that is rough. Is yours BBC's or the 350's? Where did it come from, I don't remember seeing it when I was looking last year. I rolled the dice on mine (it was a repo that a dealer had, no history) and so far I've been pleased. Changed the valvesprings right after I got it and everything else has been regular maintenance.

I think I'm going to try sanding down a little and painting blue my vents this weekend. If it works it'll look cool, if it sucks I'll get new.

Mine is the small blocks. It was a repo from FL. Maybe i'll try painting mine but for now I just want to put as many hours as I can on it before Oct.

I got lucky & bought a set from Lake Cumberland Marine at a price I coundn't refuse

I just installed a new dash panel today (have dash and trim plates if anyone needs them). I bought my still uninstalled cupholders from Eddie Marine, Polished aluminum and not a bad deal. I also installed new vents this spring. I have the part #'s andwill post them tomorrow. If you want to paint your vents let me know. I can match any color and am close to you. I work at Autometric in Royal Oak...
