38's look really cool Scot. They look "deep" too. Track one of them down!

They are really big 38's. Actually a lot like your boat, just with steps and different cabin.

I've got a buddy whose had his hands on probably every 38PP built so far. I've got a messge into him on your behalf SS.

They are MASSIVE boats. I liken them to a 38' "Black Thunder" size boat when it comes to shear girth and weight.

I'll agree they do feel VERY big when compared to anything else in it's class. It makes a 38 TG TS look small. Mine weighed 10,700 lbs wet ON the trailer across the scales, which surprised me.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help and info. I know they are big boats, Black Thunder like is a great way to describe them.

I recall reading Steve's thread on these boats, but I dont recall the basic layups of the 38's. Anyone know off hand what the schedule was? They are typically bagged corecell, correct?

Are you refering to your 38PP? If so--that's it? Was that a paper mache trailer?

Trailer is an Alum. Myco 3 axle. It surprised me too. The truck stop claimed their scale was accurate. We weighed the truck by itself before we hooked up the boat and then the whole rig and then subtracted out the truck. Advertised weight on the 38 is 8600 lbs +/-. Does a 3 axle Alum Myco weigh 2100 lbs ? My boat lift is a 12K lift and lifts it no problem even with 250 gallons of fuel, full fresh water tank, and loaded with gear. I will say that when we weighed it the boat was pretty much empty in all respects(40 gallons of fuel, empty water tank and none of the wifes required we have to have this onboard gear). Everything else was on board.
