If someone is seriously interested there may be some room if we can work out a deal. The owner is interested in purchasing our Latitude center console. May be able to create some wiggle room if we trade the boat first based on a secured sale.

302Sport 10-26-2011 07:35 AM

you Powerplay guys need to get your acts together and be more like the Apache guys if you want the resale value's to stay high. If that was an apache the response would have been "that boats a steal, he just spent $40K on drives and motors, blah blah blah"

mgh 10-26-2011 10:06 AM

70k w/o trailer. What planet is this guy on. The whole economy is in the crapp, the only commodity that holds or appreciates are hi performance boats.

Going to wait for obama to create a boat stimulus package to get sellers motivated to sell.

allstarmarine 10-26-2011 11:47 AM

The owner understands the economy. I guess he is trying to justify purchasing a new boat while letting go of his current Powerplay. This boat is exceptionally clean. Has absolutely no mechanical issues. The boat has brand new not rebuilt drives, is maintained with an open check book, and warehouse stored in the winter months. The boat really shows well. If you are seriously interested I would be happy to present your offer. As 302Sport stated if this were a Cigarette or Apache it would be cheap money. Powerplay should certainly be included in the same category. Those who own, have owned, or have a friend with a Powerplay will attest to that. At the end of the day the boat is for sale and is only worth what someone is willing to pay and the owner is willing to accept. This is the case for every boat on the market.

Best post ever!!!

caseyh 10-26-2011 12:28 PM

and how many apaches are REALLY moving? not many.

302Sport 10-26-2011 12:45 PM

and the ones that do move, you will NEVER get one of the tribe to tell you the real price it moved at. I do know one thing, no 20 year old apache is bringing $250K, even if ben kramer comes with it as your personal driver

Can't wait to see the used boat market hit the NYSE. From what I can see, a great investment and positive ROI

Well stated Mr. broker. Unfortunately, I just said to a friend this am, these things are barely worth the trailer they are sitting on. (I exagerated of course). Being a buyer, you have to WANT it and as a seller you have to WANT to see it go away, and take what you can live with. Unless of course you have lots of disposable income.

It's a good time to move up, IMO, if you have the means. Give up A to gain B. (B>>A)

As we all know, the market will determine a boat's true value.

Gordo 11-01-2011 10:42 AM

Not long ago, there was a 33/Bravo boat in the Tampa area, that looked like the old B-class race boat. I think it was on Craigslist<?> Anyone know where it went/

Not ringing a bell, Gordo. I can't picture that one.

I think I'm seeing more of them not selling. Tough market.

302Sport 11-02-2011 11:35 AM

Trust me I didn't want it to end up an ob boat but he stepped up to the plate and had the money

+++ And we're still waiting for you to buy one and join the LOTO PP club. We have 2 requirements to join. 1) you must own a PP. and 2) your first name has to be John. All you need is a PP and your in. :lolhit:

Doing my research, John! Gotta get the dock and lift squared away, but I'm looking ahead to the future. :)

I think that's the one that's been "for sale" forever, but nobody can get a single response from the guy.

Also, he's too busy to even bother putting 2 sentences to describe it, making me think some wife out there is wondering "why won't our boat sell, it's been 5 years!"

lol "But, honey! I've had it listed the entire time!!"

;)

POWERPLAY J 11-07-2011 06:00 PM

If I'm not mistaken I was warned away from that one 5 years ago when I bought mine... Not 100% sure if it is. There was a 28 twin 500 boat that sank.

northernoffshore 11-07-2011 06:27 PM

I looked at it about the same time, but it was clean and rigged with 415 mpi motors with a something.com on the side. It sold for about 28g's no trailer.

Twin O/B Sonic 11-08-2011 05:56 AM

Yep. Clearly something fishy. Anything in Miami makes me nervous.
I thought I'd remembered this being listed before as well.
I thought the one that sank was beat bad too??? Not that you can tell from these shots.

This one, right?

http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/2657890622.html

302Sport 12-01-2011 08:21 PM

Yeah it sold though. I sold the bare hull to a guy in the Bahamas who is converting it to an outboard boat.
