powerplay's for sale??

seeing whats out there for sale. not looking to spend a small fortune but looking for realistic boats anyone know of any??

POWERPLAY J 07-07-2011 07:04 PM

If that 95 with blower motors in FL is clean I think the $ is decent.

88bullet 07-07-2011 07:29 PM

what is he asking for it?? price isnt listed

POWERPLAY J 07-07-2011 07:43 PM

I believe it was mid 50's. Been for sale for a while.

Looks clean and well taken care of in the pics. Decent graphics. Looks like the rigging can be cleaned up a bit under the hatch but that's not a biggie. Full survey will give you an idea how strong the power is. A wise race boat builder one told me "Powerplays are the real deal!"

88bullet 07-07-2011 09:29 PM

i like the boat. and the girlfriend likes it too so that makes life alot easier lol. ive never been on a powerplay. my friend cig92 turned me on to them. ive been on alot of boats. big cigs and fountains, outerlimits 37 and 28 pantera's and so on. whats a comparable to the powerplay. cig92 praised the the 33 highly. and told me to start looking into them. who better than powerplay owners to steer me in the right direction. let me know if you heaar of any pop up for sale

POWERPLAY J 07-08-2011 08:02 PM

Tracks like its on rails. Cuts through the slop and rides extremely flat. I have friends with 32 Sunsations and 32 Activethunder, both will tell you the PP handles better and smoother in rougher water. Another buddy with a 37 OL said it rides like a Cig and was suprised. The build quality is unreal.

They seem like they are getting harder to find. Good luck on the search. If I hear of any I'll pass the info to you.

I hope you're not selling your PP after all that work!!! It's going to look amazing with the new paint... :coolcowboy:

302Sport 07-18-2011 08:23 AM

You would sell the OL for the right price haha....everything is for sale come on u know that....but seriously I put a ton of work/money into the boat and would be sad to see it go but I could always move into something bigger/faster

I would sell it for the right price, but it would probably have to be pretty high as there aren't a lot of other boat out there they fit MY needs as well as this one does. There are obviously a lot bigger and faster boats out there, but I dont know that I'd really want a bigger boat at this point. Much bigger and it becomes that much more of a hassle to move, store, handle, maintain, feed, etc. And let's be honest about the speed, how much time is spent at 75+ and under what conditions can you really travel at those speeds??? I still think the perfect boat for our area is probably in the 33' to 40' range, with 36'-38' probably being the sweet spot IMO.

The grass is always greener on the other side... Get your boat done and enjoy the fruits of your labor/money for a season or two. I suspect you'd find a 46 Skater or a 47 Apache somewhat of a hassle and a headache in the long run. The reality is more often than not, seas are 2' or less around here, so there's not all that much need for 'more boat'. Get your boat done and enjoy what you actually have, it will be super sharp when complete. If you do decide to sell it in time to "move up", I'd suggest you strongly reconsider if you're stuck on moving up to something 42'+. ;)

Again, looking forward to seeing your PP completed, it should be stunning!

I believe this is the boat mentioned on page 1 of this thread. Anyone familiar with it?

http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/2491170936.html

Owner says it's maintained by Rocke Marine, but I couldn't find any info on them.

EDIT: It's Roca Marine, not Rocke Marine. Seller mispelled it.

Awfully quiet. Either no one is familiar with it or there's bad history. :party-smiley-004:

fantastixvoyage 09-16-2011 02:25 PM

I know there was one that crashed pretty good (blew out portside bow) with a similar paint job but can't say it was this one.

My 25' is for sale if you want something smaller :angry-smiley-038:

Anyone this boat? Called the broker he was no help said he hasn't talked to the owner in a long while. Said he was going to find the status on the boat, never called me back. Won't answer emails also.

I've inquired on it and it's pretty much just like you said. Getting info is like pulling teeth. I don't know any more than what the ad reads.

I've inquired on the CL boat with blower motors and the gentleman who responded said there has been a falling out between he and his partner and he just wants out. Sounds fishy, but who knows.

Talked with him a while back also. Never said anything about that but got a bit uneasy when asked about the messed up motor. Said it was all fixed. Also wouldn't give me a top speed saying he didn't know never ran the boat hard. Made me stray away we all know we have gone the top speed at least once in our boats! Great looking boat though right price ( less then he's asking for the unknown a out the motor) I'll go take a look and test it... if all keeps going good I'll be 100% in the market for a 33pp at the end of this month.

Anyone know what ever happend to peddlepusher? Was here in Louisiana then was told south fl some were?
