Any I/O 33's that can be bought but aren't listed???
Thinking of going back to PP. Know of one with 525's but seeing what else can be bought. Prefer bigger power...

Why?
|
Ive been wanting the Blue outboard one... Like you said (or someone) you never see them because they are always out being used instead of at the dock with the hatch up and someone halfway hanging out of it.

Rack: $6k Insurance: $7400 (26 years old) Fuel: $11k = $26k give or take with no maintenance issues. Talked to the guy who bought my boat over the winter and he put about 20 hours on the boat, ran flawless, then one engine went kaboom, blown head gasket burned a hole in a couple pistons. Checked the other engine and that head gasket was leaking too. $60k later he is back up and running. I feel like the verge of a docile, reliable engine, 200+ hours is right at around 1000hp, once you go over that you are asking for trouble. |

Yeah older boat, was converted to 525's. Not listed anywhere. When you going to buy one, they're getting hard to find???
Also not ruling out some other "hot rods" out there. The Superboats and Phantoms are cool as well, but I think the 33 PP is a more well-rounded boat. Even though I don't have one, I enjoy reading the threads on the PP's and keeping up with them. I appreciate everyone letting me join in the banter. :) |

Where is that boat?? Would be a slick setup with some Arneson conversions so you could keep the full stagger and still have a six man cockpit. Arnesons and some NA 800's, that boat would be a fun little rocket.

Saw a 33 Powerplay on blocks tucked up beside a house on South Bimini a few hundred feet from the ferry docks. It had similar paint to the staggered race boat that used to be on the Powerplay website. Boats sitting uncovered in 3 ft of weeds in the Bahamas doesn't usually get them back in the water anytime soon.

How bad of shape was it in??
Boat is on South Bimini about 1/3 of a mile from the shuttle docks sitting on blocks up against a house and it is easily spotted from the road. |
What a shame...

What most people won't tell you is the Bahamas is a ghetto with an accent! The resorts are nice but the locals section of town is usually rough. |
I can imagine. I've seen half naked kids playing with worn out truck tires in puddles beside the road in some countries. Pretty sad...
