Staggard 33's
Where are the staggard 33' at?
How many were built and still around? |
6 built (that I know of) 4 still exist.
|
Might wanna call Dave at MDG.
|
I had one of them....it was an awesome boat. STILL miss it!!!
|
Sounds awesome, would love to see some pics of one.
|
I think the 4 remaining are:
Twocan X muscle 6 pack bravo boat White Bravo (never rigged) I owned the original PP b class race boat which was converted to side by side number 4's and is now an outboard boat. What was the 6th one?? |

This might be the 6th one. Was up in NJ a few years ago.
|
CIG3 - That is the 6 pack boat
Unless twocan is no longer operational, the remaining boats would be TwoCan, Sylvester, X Muscle and the 6-pack boat. I did see the blank hull 6-pack that was up for sale a while back, but not a whole lot of info on it. Would have been nice if the B-Class boat would have remained an I/O, but it is an OB boat now down in Corrosion Country. Moment of silence please... :picard1: :picard1: :picard1: |
Sylvester was awesome.. Always liked that one. badass setup. Strickly Biz

can any of them be bought?
|
The 6 pack with the crazy colors is owned by Al Culbertson and I believe is still sitting at east coast marine in OC after some work they had done to it. Here are some pictures..

Wait! They missed a color!
What's in it for power? I hear it's fast. What year is the hull? |
Sylvester was mine at one time....full stagger, great running boat.

It has 700 a side if I remember correctly, not sure on the speed or the year but I imagine it would have to run close to the century mark.

I don't know Al on a personal level but a very close friend does and he has said that Al will sell anything. I know he had talked of retiring and moving to FL and the boat will be sold before that happens. So I would venture to say that it could be had. Now price wise I have no idea. It's a 6 pack interior that was just done. That's the reason it was at east coast offshore.
|
wow thats a crazy paint, Is that Sylvester?
|
No Sylvester is a little less wild on the paint (I'm not sure who added the deck paint on the 6-pack boat but that is not factory), here are some pics (credit to Semper Fi) :

|
Mr. K / Franks Marine... had 600's in it, had structural modifications not done by powerplay and stuffed/broke apart killing throttleman. Powerplay was cleared of all liability in court.

I read something about that recently... said that the kid had just bought it a few weeks prior. Messing with structural integrity is never a smart move.

Why would you take a deck off to install motors?

They didn't. Going off memory they were paid to install new motors and also fix some damage to the boat at the deck/hull joint(incorrectly). They denied repairing the deck.

That's my old PP with me driving and neighbor riding on the Tim's Rivershore Poker run on the Potomac River. Other pics are at my house. This Power Play has a small sit down rear bench seat not stand up. I purchased the boat with no power and rigged it with 572's would run around 98-101 but would snap prop shafts if over trimmed. That was before xr drives were available. Great running and handling boat till you lost a shaft at speed.
