Default Issues sanding off painted graphics?

I am considering having the graphics on my 25 sanded off so my boat is all white, and there are some scratches in the blue that really show. Any issues when having this done since I'm not repainting the area? I have a good detail guy who can do it.

there will be ghosting of the stirpes in the gel.. also the gel is thin where you sand off the paint because the primer paint goes into the porous gel..it can be done here is a velocity I did it turned out only ok

Yes it is an outboard. Sounds like it wouldn't turn out looking like it never had graphics.

Default Bye bye 1990s...

Decided to have it done since I thought the graphics looked dated and I never was a checker graphics fan.

Thanks, yeah it looks longer. Up close you can see where the graphics were from the discoloration of the gelcoat that was exposed to the elements but I'm really happy with the results.

I saw a boat recently that had graphics sanded off. Up close, looked nice - but from a 100 yards away, I could see the graphics ghosting.
