Default 2019 LOTO Shootout - Powerplay Surge

Apaches have Tribes. Cigarettes have Packs. Powerplays have Surges. Well, until we come up with a better name.

A discussion popped up on that dreaded Facebook about gathering some Powerplays at the LOTO Shootout this year. Interest was expressed, so let's see if we can get a few together. John Stern, John Lewis, and John Humphrey (me) have the only three Powerplays on LOTO, as far as I know. Brian Bowen lives nearby in KS and will bring his '96 33 over as well. We'll be happy to help with any info.

For those unfamiliar with the Shootout, it's a week-long event with things picking up mid-week with the Wednesday night strip party where many boats are lined up on the Bagnell Dam strip. IMO, Friday is the best day of the year to run on the lake... lots of hardware out on the water having a good time. Saturday and Sunday are race days... perhaps we can talk a Powerplay or two into running the course.

More info to come. Maps, schedule, etc.

Let's assemble some Powerplays!

Which PP did you buy? I saw a white/red/yellow one back around the gas dock at Formula Boats on 6/1 (I'm on F Dock) that I hadn't seen down there before. Only got a quick glimpse but thought it was a 33.

I bought Pedal Pusher. New name TBD.

The boat you saw was probably John Lewis' boat. He's had his '89 33 for at least 10 years on LOTO.

That's Brian Bowen from Kansas. He bought the McLeod-interior '96 with blower engines. He's loving it.

Crazy. Been on the lake regularly for the last 20 years and had never seen it. Pics of your new ride?
