Any info. on the state of the company?
This is an honest question and I am simply curious on the whole chapter 11 (rumor). This is not intended to bring up any bad issues, but to see if some of the worlds best boats will continue to be built. That is why I chose to put it here instead of in the general discussion, where people will talk **** about what they think they know. Thanks in advance for any factual info. and good luck to you Dan and the company. I dream of owning a 38' one day and hope there will be some more out there for me to look at.

In a recent conversation with Dan, it looks like he's very optimistic that they can come out of chapter 11, probably by merging with another quality powerboat builder. They plan to show at the New York Boat show, and have rented space for the Miami show. Sounds posative to me.

I looked for the thread too and could not find it, I think it went the way of the trash can.
By the way I was reading an article about a fountain sportfisher in I think boating magazine, and they referenced the 38' powerplay sportfish with triple 300's and said it would cruise around 70 m.p.h. I was wondering if there is one out there that has been built or if these are purely estimated numbers from an experienced guess from Dan. Here is the link to that article.

There is no Powerplay 38' Fish Boat!
A 38' Powerplay center-console fish boat has never been produced, nor does any deck tooling exist for such a model boat. And no, a "one-off" has never been built either. As to advertising that one does exist, would be pure misrepresentation, would'nt you say? Ed
