Default Ritchie Compass

Anyone have a Ritchie compass that has a yellowish faded bezel?

I was sick of seeing this nasty looking bezel on my dash so started to check into replacements for the large whole in the dash! I thought about an Azimuth but I like the traditional compass that does not require power. So I called Ritchie and the response was surprising!

"Oh you have one of those were sorry had a bad batch of bezels send it in and we will upgrade it and send it right back out to you"

I know some of you have older PQ's that may have these so I hope this helps.

Here is a picture of the yellowed bezel you can see the pieces that hold the lights that are a different material are still white.

Scott
when I bought the 38 it had one but my 29 looked good so I was able to swith them around. Glad to hear that they stood behind it . That is great customer service. I also noticed you have the same speedo mine looks a little yellow like yours think they will also relace them I think this I am changing mine to a GPS speedo though. Have a fun weekend if you get out.
