I told a friend today it is like us Bears fans - we now want to think we finally have a QB when in reality we don't really know yet....

But I'd rather be around folks who think positive, even if it is just hopeful thinking, than those who always look at the worse that could happen.

Not sure anyone in our division is all that good. But historically the Lions fans have not had a lot of things to celebrate, nor the bears except 85,. I work with a few that stopped betting me annually a long time ago. These bets date back to the Pistons/Bulls era. They won a few with the Pistons - then I made out big time with Jordon.

We had a hard time betting on football - BB was more intersting in those days.

Hi all, havent been on in a while. I live on the southshore of Long Island, New York. I have been a Powerquest boat owner for 13 years. My first was a 1993 290 Enticer, it was the catalog boat for that year. I owned that boat from April of 1994 till July of 2003. I presently own a 2003 34 Vyper which was the catalog boat for that year( go figure ). In the 13 years of running the south shore of LI and entering local poker runs or performance gatherings I have only seen 2 other powerquests on the water. As all you present owners will agree, I believe the quality of a Powerquest is as good or maybe better then any performance boat in its class, and for a reasonable price. So why when someone asks me what kind of boat am I running, I get hmm never heard of it. I tell them its just like a Formula,Bahja,Donzi etc. They respond with oh nice boat. It Pisses me off how a boat of this calibor is not recognized by its manufactures name. Now that being said in order for any company, not just a boat company to sell its product they have to let the consumer or the people in the performance boating hobby know they excist, especially when there product is as the same or even better quality then their competitors. Advertise, advertise,Advertise. Get a factory F1 or F2 boat out there. Build a Poker run edition and attend some of the majior poker runs. All the youngsters are watching these events, all they see are the Fountains, formulars, Donzis, etc, etc, never a Powerquest. They grow up wanting one of those boats or what dad had. Those other boats companys have made a name for themselves and remain successful threw advertisng, yes you pay 10 to 20% more for those name brand boats, but not because their better, but because they have to cover the cost of "advertising". How many people could be out there wanting to purchase a Powerquest but know they will have difficulty trading up without taking the huge hit. We all must admit you pay more for name brands, but they retain their value longer.
In my opinion, they must advertise, Magazines, boat shows around the country, poker runs and racing events. The dealers should have ample inventory on display. The only dealer in N.Y. had 2 boats 320sc and a 28 I think their still for sale. Powerquest has to make themselves a name brand, exposure will accomplish this, yes it will cost a bit more to get into one , but it will protect the people who purchase one and keep the company strong.

I hope I have not offended any of my fellow powerquest owners, I think it all makes sense. Happy new year to you all.

I agree with you 100%. Marketing is everything. If you question it, take a good look at Cig, especially the last 5 years. But with that, we can't complain when the prices go up to cover that - and we can't complain when the eye candy is added at a 20 - 30% upcharge.

KS, is that the one with a windscreen and lots of green accents. (can't remember the other colors.) I still have the marketing slick for that boat saved on my computer at work. Beautiful boat!

C K,

My enticer was bought by a gentleman named Chris. He lives and boats in Maryland. Our boats were very simular. If you look at the original 93 catalog the deck graphics run from the port side windshield to the bow. If my memory serves me right yours ran from the helm side to the bow. It is possible they had 2 catalogs, either or it was a great boat. I know that boat inside and out. I did alot of prop testing, she ran the fastest w/ Mirage 23p 3 blades ( 72mph) but the best rough or ocean props were Hydromotive 22p 4 blades, lost about 1 1/2 mph but no blowout and could get into trailertilt with trim. If you need any help or info Id be happy to help you. My e-mail is KLEENSWEPT@aol.

Mack, My 34 is purple, green, and silver with the wind screen. It has the 496hos runs 82mph wot w/ Bravo 1 30p labbed and done by throttle up. In my expierence both boats love bow rise, especially the 34,in the ocean have to run level or neg, using the tabs in 3 1/2 s to 4 footers. But once you find the happy spot its a great ride.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but while we are waiting for some real information on the factory why not talk PQ smack?

If you would like a copy of the marketing slick for your boat let me know. I'll email it to you. Funny you make that statement. I had lunch with BillR today and he said "the 340 is a drivers boat". How true. There is no greater thrill than getting her totally dialed in on 1, 2, 3 footers at 60 coming across the Ches Bay from the Eastern Shore, or wherever. What a thrill ride!!

Kleen, mine is that boat, but the graphic runs to the helm side and I have 502 mags

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Kind of cool
