By the way, yes six months..The owner kept this thing pretty quiet from the public, dealers and the press.

Mentioned it about then .... but they went through the whole thing 3 years earlier so no one figured it was happening again..

I just checked my old e-mail from Rick at PQ, he was communicating with me as late as Oct 15th on some upgrades for my boat, and I was trying to get some info on the place closing. Just FYI

Is that rigging shop called Millennium Marine? I don't know anything about them but have meet a couple of boaters that have had their HP motors built by that shop

Found this from an old news article, I have NO idea if this has any relevance........ Just trying to piece things together.

"We're flying, setting records, having a ball out there," says Phil Hall, a crew member of the Jaws catamaran racing team. "The dream is to go even faster. Maybe one day soon we'll even crank it up to 200 mph." (Last year, Jaws teammate Dennis Kaiser set an American Power Boat Association record at 158.5 mph.). "I love the water," continues Hall. "But my advice to anyone getting into this is still: 'Be straight with God.' For anything can happen out there with a V or a cat. That's why we always give our wives and girlfriends a long goodbye kiss."

I'm to understand that the gentelman heading up the lamination dept has history with pretty much the fastest boats ever built. I've not heard anything about the owner being envloved on that end. However at the rate of the rumors floating around who knows. This thing gets more interesting as the days go by. As for the Factory being down for 6 months that seems hard to believe. I do know they were letting a few people go the week of the Rally so maybe there's some truth to that?

Wally, saw 3, leftover 2005's at LOTO over the weekend...a 240, 260 open, and a 300 w/twin 496's. JT snapped some shots of the 300. Sharp boat...the paint job reminded me of you. It was disappointing to see Lenco tabs on it instead of K-planes. The boat is pretty massive and I don't see the Lencos surviving the water down at LOTO.

Wally - I sent those pics to myself at work. I will send them to you tomorrow.

I think the boat reminded Jeff of you because - oh yeah - something about flames  :evilb:

Speaking of flames, and having a bad year - here is a picture I took of a house in Porta Cima at LOTO this weekend. The guy closed on it a month ago. It evidently had a furnace malfunction. Would this ruin your day?
