Few weeks ago I dropped my trailer off at Integrity Trailers to have my trailer restored. I talked to the owner and asked him if he knew anything about the new Power Quest owners. He told me that there infact is a buyer but are still in the buying process. He explained that they were still doing the building inspections and paper work. He sounded pretty sure about Power Quest coming back, but of course nothing is final final until he has the keys. Just wanted to share......

How long does a building inspection take??????? The PQ plant isn't that big.

I wonder how much stuff is sitting around inside the building that is no longer good. (gel-coat,resin,paint,clear-coat,etc.) I'll bet there is thousands of dollars worth that is shot. I haven't noticed, but are there molds that have been sitting outside all this time? If so, you can bet those are going to need some serious love to produce a quality part out of again.

Heck..... by the time they get the sale done the fricken building is going to rot or rust away and the weeds will be growing inside the building The new owners existing molds are going to be out dated and require alot more cost to be up to par. I think it has been shut down to long to be able to compete with the competitor on design and model changes. Just my .02 cents worth.

There really is no real good reason for this transaction to have taken this long to close other than if the current owners are attempting to perform a short sale due to a negative equity situation. Or possibly some type of tax lien or maybe some how tied into the other company. Well I guess I was wrong I just gave you 3..

Well besides that I don't think the hull will go out of style anytime to soon. Heck there's several smaller builders out there that have been selling the same hull for 20 years and they keep selling boats.

It's funny if you go back over the years with PQ you'll notice they kept reworking their smaller boats for some reason. Heck I think in 97 the had 3 different offerings between the 23-20 range. I can't believe these sold well (other than the 23) yet they kept spending money on new molds. I think if they would have kept with what worked they'd still be in business.

It would be interesting to see how many units of each size were sold?
My guess is the 26 Legend and the 29 Enticers were the bulk of productions.

Just tucked mine into storage today and I must say it really is one great boat!!!!!!

We have a great PQ 280 Silencer (2003) for sale. It is a tremendous boat which we bought brand new with TAOD graphics, major head turner but we just need a bigger boat!

We just love this boat and hate to see it go!

To Mars

Please feel free to call me at 603.229.114. Also at home tonight, at 603.224.5401. I can email you the pictures. Unfortunately it could be gone in less than 14 days on a trade but please buzz me. This boat is brand new, with absolutely no disappointments. As soon as we speak I'll send you the pictures and provide all of the details.
