Default Bad Weekend

Well I thought going to LOTO for the weekend with 9 buddies would be a great time, little did I know. Last weekend was at our local lake and lost fuel pressure on port side, ok no biggy it must be a fuel pump, wrong it was the sea water housing assembly and no one in our area had one I could get in a day. Since I'm going to the Ozarks someone should have one, and they did good. Got down Thursday evening and put in on in about two hours. So far not so bad. Friday get up go boating and on the way back I decide that it is time to see what speed I get after rebuild. While I'm getting into it I notice I'm losing fuel presure on Starboard side this time so we stop and look, and sure enough the same thing has just happened again on the other side . Ok get part early Saturday and replace part ready to go boating by noon all is good problems solved I had to run back to the marina to return the wrong fuel pump so we take off towards Port Arrowhead, about 1 mile from condo at about 35-40 mph the motor hits rev limiter and I come off plane . After going back to my slip I look in the water and only see one prop, I jump in to confirm one missing. Put the boat on trailer to find that I hit something under the water line and ripped off port lower unit All and all the weekend sucked bad other then the friends I hung with. they proceeded to help me drink my sorrows away .

Well now it is time to start testing new prop any suggestions on what you all think?

Not really just felt the boat jerk left and then had the revs climb

Anybody have a lower they want to sell with a 1.5 ratio? let me know.

Rich.

WOW that really sux.

Makes me leary now that I am going to Shelbyville this weekend.

Does this mean you won't be down at all?

Why do you think you shucked the waterpumps?

Rich, where were you running when the lower went MIA? I saw you on 54 Thursday evening as you were pulling into town. I ran the main channel all week and it was pretty clear of any big debris. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

I wonder if Donny has one laying around with all those surface drives he has installed. Tommy Toes Up would know.

I was with Rich when this happened. We were running between Backwaters cove and the toll bridge, probably around 45-55 mph, the boat pulled left and the port motor hit the rev limiter. We didn't realize we had lost the shaft and prop until we got back to Lands End. At the time my guess was a coupler, man when it rains it pours!

No, I won't be down, kind of works out drywall will be done and I can start to paint.

I don't know why the pumps both went just time I guess.
