Re: Red Lay in Cockpit Carpet
Speedreeder-
Did you have to provide Matworks with a templete or did they have the orginal designs and sizes since they did PQ's work for them? |

Re: Red Lay in Cockpit Carpet
h-h-h I called them assuming they would have the template and they told me they would send me out paper to make my own. I did find that odd being they did all of PQ's carpet. Other than maybe some had the bolsters placed in a different spot than the norm.

Gofastcarpets, Thanks for the reminder. They are 20 minutes from my house.I had forgotten all about them.

Re: Red Lay in Cockpit Carpet
I called snapincarpet.com this afternoon and was told new carpet would run around $500. I think I call mat works again. Heck for $210 I could get a purple for the cool factor and another gray for the cool on the feet factor.

Re: Red Lay in Cockpit Carpet
Be sure to ask Matworks if they will reimburse you if the black backing turns to sand...

Re: Red Lay in Cockpit Carpet
Fast Forward-Yes the carpet is plush and pretty tight on the strands.....H.H.H- They did send me a template, and good thing because I changed how the carpet splits under the bolsters and I really like it better. Instead of a flap coming in from the middle of the boat under the seats. I split it and the flap comes in from front and back evenly. The template is kinda a pain to deal with, But use plenty of tape to hold it in place. I had never done this before and Matworks cleaned and rounded out the corners nice and it fits perfect.
