Default Props on early 98 Avenger

I have a 98 Avenger non step hull, stock 502s. Just wondering what props people are running? I have 3 blade 25 pitch now but was thinking of going to a 4 blade. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Jeff

I thought 1998 was the first year for the stepped hull? Is yours a real early 98?

I run Hydromotive Quad4X's 25's on mine. These replaced the 25p Mirages it came with. Good luck and welcome to the site. Post up some pics of your PQ.

Yes it is a early 1998. Boat was built late 1997. I have owned her since 2004. The boat is spotless and I will post some pics early next week. Thank you for the prop advice, how does your boat run with the props? hole shot, top speed, midrange?

My props are also 25p 3 blade mirage plus's. I have stock 502 mpi mags. The best I have seen on the g.p.s. is 68 mph I might see 69-mph in ideal conditions. I was thinking of testing some 4-blade Revolution 4 props and see how they work.I was told if they are labbed I should have the same top speed with big gains mid range or cruising speed.

The 25' Hydro 4 blades perform very well. Picked up about 4-5mph @ a 3600rpm cruise. WOT the same maybe even a little better. Hole shot, well I don't do hole shots but it comes on plane effortlessly. Made overall handling much better.
