Shawn I had a 23 prior to the 26 and I know what you mean about the space in that boat. That was a cockpit!!! The 26 is a little smaller but the ride of the 26 is far superior.

Well I've located a 29 that has really peaked my interest so pending the weather on the 4th I may make a road trip to take a look. Of course I will need to sell the 26 before the wife will let me make a move. So if anyone is looking for a 1 of a kind 26 it maybe for sale in the next 48hrs!!

Hey Cklentling, There is a guy in our club that has a 380 avenger and is looking to downsize. Not sure on the year but it is a twin step 502 so I guess it is a 1999-2000.

I can get his info if your interested, he just moved down here from WI last year so it is essentially a freshwater boat.

So true! This boat needs to get a new home. She was SO good to me...but then again I was extremely good to her. :D

Seriously though, I was very impressed with how well it is built. I challenge anyone to find the first stress crack anywhere in the boat!

Believe it or not, the only real issue I had was on our first overnight trip. We were on our way down the Intercoastal into North Carolina. Stopped at Tidewater Yacht for the first night. It was 95 degrees outside and 100 in the cabin according to the AC digital read out. :eek: Only the AC never got cool so we had to bag the trip. Ultimately, it took BillR and myself about 4 hours to find the problem. The compressor wasn't kicking it so we figured it was electrical. It turned out to be a loose connection in the main power box. Where they put it was a real PITA to get to. But an easy fix. :rolleyes:

Hi Fast Forward, I think everybody thinking of upsizing needs to ask themselves what is the biggest boat you think you will ever end up with.
Then decide how many jumps to get there.I think the least amount of jumps to get to the boat size you ultimately want is cheaper in the long run.I had a 24' Sunsation for six seasons then went to a 29 enticer for 8 seasons and now my 38' for 2. Now that have my 38' my 29' seemed ass end heavy.The 38' planes out alot easier and needs less trim tab. Personally I would hold off and go for the 34' which would give you a lot more improvements besides 3-feet and an extra engine. Good luck with the boat hunting and have a great summer.:)
