Seems like I own the only one made. I was just wondering if anyone else has one, or has previously owned one. Mine is a 92 with a 350 mag alpha combo. It is the XL, so it is the cuddy version. I bought it from the original owner who bought it new in 93. I'm impressed with this boat. She has definately earned her stripes. Hopefully soon I can move up in size a little.

I have a 93 208BR. I bought it in 1994 and have been very happy with the boat. I also have the 350 mag alpha. My only complaint is when fully trimmed out it can get pretty squirrly, and it doesn't handle chop as well as I would expect. It doesn't have tabs, which would probably help, but I just think its a little too light and short. A buddy had a 237 which was very solid and stable. That or a 260 would probably be a great next step.

WOW! I'm not alone. I agree it can get a little tricky, but nothing too hard to handle. I'm pretty surprised at how well it takes the waves for the size of the boat. I'm sure I have a few more pounds in the bow as mine is the cuddy though. That probably helps. I can say one thing about this boat, it is definately unique. Seven years and I have never seen another one like it.

I had an Viate 208 xl until last week. I upgraded to an Laser 270. I had my Viate 208 since 2000. it was a good boat! Fast for the power. A little squirrelly though! I started with an 260hp 350 mag then added vortec heads, 1.6 roller rockers & Airgap preformer intake. It gained me about 6mph. Then in 2007 i put an 383 stroker (415hp) in it. It would run between 65 & 68.
