when powerquest measures their boats do they add the lenght of the swim platform into the overall length some boat manf. dont count the platform and some does hence a 29 foot is a30-31 foot with the platform and a 30 foot is a 32 with the platform might seam like a dummb question but i would like to know i am thinging of getting a 29 enticer thanks

General rule-of-thumb is that overall length includes the molded hull of the boat. If swim platform is part of hull it counts, if a bolt-on, it does not. Also for outboard (or flat transom I/O) boats. the length of motor or outdrive is not included. At the pointy end, bolt on bow pulpits don't count either. Some (like Tiara) don't include pulpit even when part of mold to be conservative.
