looking to buy an enticer advice

i'm interested in purchasing an Enticer shortly. i never bought a boat before so if you guys could advise me on what to be cautious of when checking out the boat like signs of abuse or neglect. thanks.

When I bought mine (now for sale to go larger :D) I wanted to make sure I got the largest motor I could, I ended up with 502 mags, and I wanted external steering and k-planes as well (which i got)

I also wanted the weekender package, which got me shore power, fridge, pressure water and a microwave.

It is a buyers market so find out the options you want and then find the boat you want and make your offer.

I wanted the boat to be as loaded as possible so I would not have to do as much to it later on and would not have regrets by going cheap on the boat only to want to sell it since i compromised.

good luck in your search

First Time

Patience pays as well as RESEARCH. Since you are a first time buyer a safe boating class as offered buy The United States Power Squadrons or Coast Guard Auxillary would be in your interest. Have someone you trust that knows performance boats help with the process and have a neutral party perform a full inspection. We looked for 8 years to move up from a PQ 27 to a 38. Get insurance quotes before you buy to see if it will fit your budget. When you finally find the one you will love your PQ they are great boats.
Good luck and have fun shopping.

Like they said! Take your time there are some real good deals out there. Don't let the asking price scare you off as when I was looking at 29's last year guys would drop $5000 to $10,000 on the price.

Dont forget you get what your paying for!!!!!!for a nice 290 Enticer expect to pay upper 40s to mid 50s
you must be pretty desperate to drop $10.000.00

PWRQUEST 02-23-2008 08:20 PM

Let me know where I can get one for $10,000.00 off and I will own 2.

So what your saying is that my 26 is worth about 19000 at ten grand off I sure got ripped off I could have got two then for what I paid for mine I should have done more research I could have bought a real big bayliner.

Are we crazy

290 enticer is a great boat. if you think your going to steal one for $38000.00 your wrong or it is going to be 1990. bottom line is if your looking to save $10,000.00 then look at boats in your price range. you don't buy a boat to save money!!!
look for a good boat at a good price and you will never go wrong.... hey guy's lets not try to drive down the PQ market on our own forum, lets save that for the other brands

GO PQ......

All I'll say is your wrong. I looked for 2 years at the 29's and for the most part a nice one would run between $40,000 and $45,000 or higher if your willing to spend the money. But there are deals out there. And I'll agree with PQCrazy don't ever buy a boat based on price you'll only get what you pay for. Let's face it the boating market is just like the housing market is, if your in the market there's never been a better time and save $$$. Have fun looking!

How can you say that??Last time you tried selling your boat you wouldnt take anything less then $31.500.00
So how is a 29 worth only 10K more??
40 to 45K will get you a nice mid 90s 290 enticer,if you want a late 90s early 2000 you have to pay more.
