Congrats Shawn & Angie ! I hope you made it home okay. I know it's going to a good home and you'll probably hang onto her longer than I ever do with anything.:boat::cool-smiley-011:

Before I get in to the boat we bought, Let me first say Thank You to alot of you here on OSO. I joined OSO 1 year ago this month. I asked alot of questions and found a treasure of information from first hand people.
Thanks to all that have contributed either by showing me theirs boats, sending pics of boats Or pointing me in the Direction of Boats, Or just gave good Advice & Information.

Special Thanks to:
Jus Roamn - Todd Thanks for parting with a Beautiful Ride.

Yesterday was my 40th Birthday and (not by design) this is what I brought Home.

Well, well. You finally did it! Congrats dude!!

Let me know how the cover fits. You will likely have to rearrange some of the snaps because they can be different from boat to boat.

How many hours on the HO's?

Post some pics of the cabin.

So, you run this boat yet? I know I was humbled when I first ran mine...my first twin engine boat. But quickly came to love it. :D

Although, gas was a buck a gallon back then...

Shawn D 05-24-2008 09:37 AM

Yes, Humbled. It's unbelievable. What a Jump. Today is gonna be our third time. First 2 were practice for the ramp.

A few more handles to control, over the old single stick.

Definately a great choice. The kids are out of sight watching the TV. We all Love it.

I have been pretty careful so far. only up to 60 at about 3700 - 4000 r's. Still trying to figure the tabs & trim settings.

It's alot to take in.

Gas Prices :traurig001: Well you only live once and you're dead along time.

Sorry I haven't gotten the cabin pic's yet, Probably this weekend.

Thanks for asking, Out of 200 views since you posted last, no other comments? I feel like I pissed in the corn flakes some where.

Cool! Glad to hear it's well received with the fam!!

The one thing I remember most about this boat is how critical trim and tab adjustments are. It took me many, many hours of seat time to find the sweet spot. But, I'm talking Ches Bay washing machine waters. This boat loves 1 - 2 footers. Eats em up. Get much over that and its tabs down and hang on! Cause she likes to fly. Best thing to do in those conditions is get on top of it and really hang on. :D

You are doing well if you are running 60 at 3700. My cruise speeds were 50 at 3500 and 60 at 4000. And about 76 - 78 WOT depending on conditions and load. That is with stock 28 Bravos. I hit 80 with labbed 30's, but the cruise speeds dropped by 5 mph so they were quickly returned.

I guess you have already figured out you want full tab when coming out of the hole. It really helps the engines and drives...and reduces the bow rise. Then as she starts to roll over bring the tabs up while you bring the drives up.

And, when you tire of all the messing with trim and tabs you can buy my AT. :D

Have fun this weekend Shawn & Angie ! I'm glad you're happy with you're decision. I'm still boatless (First time on Memorial Day weekend since 1987!) but it's fun to keep looking .
Buy the way , I'm looking for a 260 PQ with 496 HO, 2002 or newer with Indy or Cirrus graphics. I'm getting a little more selective on the next purchase. I've had 8 PQs and am going back to a 26 footer so I can go fast on Spring Lake . :cool-smiley-011:
