Avenger cabin door problem

I know this topic has popped up a few times. On my cabin door the lower slider block pulled out of the door I know Scott had the same and many more issues with this piece of $--t design. I need how involved it is to remove the door so I can put longer screws in the block.

I had a problem where in rough water with the cabin door closed .....the movement (real quick) ripped the locking mechanism out of the lexan plastic. Took it back to the factory and they repaired it and then stuck a sticker on the door "Do not run boat with the cabin door closed"
They mentioned that it was a pain to do

I tried to upload a pic ot the door....but it does not want to go.

cahin door

It is a pain in the a$$, had to remove black rubber pad on the starboard footrest and cut an access hole to get to the rear of the door and do the fix. The only good thing is I had custom billet aluminum step plates made to cover the access hole.

How did they fix the problem with the latch? Does your door have slider blocks or rollers?.

enticer 07-10-2008 11:52 AM

Slider blocks...which I have already had to reinstall them. The factory did the door and said it was a *****!

I have a nice access panel cut in the head and installed one of these so I could work on the piece of ****!

Door

My track seemed to be pretty solid, the tiny self tapping screws that held the blocks to the door were my problem. How did you reattach the track.
