Question Total Height Difference

Does anyone know if there is a difference in boat height between a PQ 260 Legend and a PQ 290 Enticer? I may be looking at upgrading from my 260 to a 290 but I need to know if it will still fit in our In-N-Out service rack space. Height is the critical dimension so they don't hit the windshield when moving the boat in and out of the rack. Thanks in advance for any info.

I've rafted off a a 290 before and did not notice much if any difference. They actually lined up nicely, except for the 290 being longer than my 260 :-)

I'm thinking they sit about the same as well. When I test drove a 29 it was racked stored with no issues

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it if I can get my wife warmed up more to the thought of going for a 29.
How do you like yours so far?

I had a 290 that I owned for about 10 years (95-05). Boat was absolutely awesome. Turn key and trouble free the whole time. Try to find one with 502s and k-planes instead of trim tabs. Mine would do 75 all day long with full tank of gas and as many people you felt like taking out. you could cruise at 55mph at 3200 rpm. Fuel mileage was better with the twins then with my 280 silencer with single (496ho with procharger) It is not the greatest lake michigan rough water boat, but unless you get in a 34 or larger I am at the mercy of lake michigan and wind direction. The boat would ride great over boat wakes or some chop, but would land a bit hard if you were in waves that kept the boat bouncing out of the water. The ride is not bad by any means, but I ride on to many friends boats that are much larger.

I bought my 29 last year i had a 23 PQ Conquest before this boat, so far it has been just as good as everyone says they are, fast enough to keep up with the Big boys if you want, it is real reliable package with the 454's and Bravo drives, handles lake MI great, fuel economy is not to bad with 454's, small enough to trailer pretty easy which i do but it is big enough to sleep on. it is a great all around boat.

Are you the guy that I met tonight at the gas station? If so, good to meet you.

I'm just checking so I can relate to who's on the forum.

We have a small group of PowerQuest folks here in Holland. Right now we have 4 PQ families that get together from time to time at Boater's Beach... usually in front of the big dune.

See you on the water!

We keep it at In-N-Out rack service at Yacht Basin. It stays in the same rack inside all year 'round. We've been there for 6 seasons now with 2 different PQ's. Good folks there. Our first was a 208 Viate (great boat). We love the 260 that we have now but we've been flirting with the idea of a 290 Enticer. You mentioned that you're doing some things to yours. What's in the works?
