Default Powerquest 300 Raptor

In late 99 early 2000 PQ originally named the Revenge a Raptor. Any reason they did not stick with the name? The picture of the boat in the brochure says 300 raptor on it. Not that it matters, just bored and noticed it looking thru some liturature.

it was a single step bottom boat,I believe only 1 was built and they just couldnt get it right, when Jack Moll bought Powerquest he had them remove the engines and sell the hull.
then he had a company out of Florida design the 300 Revenge.

And in between the Raptor and the Revenge in 2001 they changed the name from Raptor to 300 Predator, that didnt work out too well for them either.

Since were on the subject, what year did they officially start production of the Revenge and what year did they get rid of the 290?
Your boat looks great in the pic thread. The Revenge sits in the water much more level then the 290. My 290 always looked tail heavy sitting still.

They started production on the Revenge late 2002 and ended production on the 290 mid 2002 ,Jack Moll ran an ad back then on the 290s 70 for 70,meaning 70mph for 70 grand so he could use the remaing parts he had in stock for the 290s and that pretty much ended production of the 290 and took the value of the used 290s in the toilet.
people owned 2000,2001 290s that had paid close to 100k and the new PQ owners thought it was fair to sell 2002 290s for about 30k less so they could purge all of the 290 stock they had.
I quess it was great for them and F all the old 290 owners.

I had a 290 for almost 10 years. It was a great boat. Had kids and thought I was done boating.
