Default Any Avenger Owner Running Labbed 30's?

Currently I have 28p four blades. I'm told that if I go to labbed 30p I should gain 3-4mph on the top end and my fuel consumption at cruising speed should increase a bit. Only downfall is the boat will take longer to get on plane. Which isn't a huge deal to me. Anybody have experience with them? Boat has twin 502's all stock. Thanks!

I know a guy that has a 2002 380 with 500s (blue motors) and his boat came with 28s and tried a set of 30s and could not spin them to the correct rpms,
All you can do is try them and see what happens

Ya boatnt it just does not make any sense you have black motors and it spins 30's with no problem.

If he has 500s and can not get his engine up to the proper rpms then he may be looking at bigger problems. They are great motors but when they start to get huffed out there just like the black motors they slow down.

I don't think I would have a problem getting the RPM necessary to spin them.

I have a 2000 380, with 2005 496's in it, and run labbed 30 pitch from BBlades. 5050 rpms @ 72.4 mph, 3 people 1/2 tank of fuel. (and alot of my wifes gear).

So are those the only props you have ran with 496's? If not how much did you gain at cruise and top end over the old props? That's who I'm talking to is BBlades. Just trying to decide if this is really worth the investment!

The 496's are HO's. The 30's are the only props I have had on the boat. I'm pleased with the over all performance of the the props. I have a little slip out of the hole. I'm testing my winter memory here, but I like to cruise at 38 to 42 mph, which is around 32 to 3400 rpm's.

There are others on here that can confirm this but if I was you I would try and run some 5 blades I am running 29 5 blades and love them. it finally gave me the hole shot I was looking for and it also gave me the mid range and top end I wanted. Plus it made the boat handle better around the docks. I had 30 4 blades before and HATED them, I am soooo glad I went this way.
I am running over 600 hp blower motors with 12" boxes just so you know.
Test drive the 5 blaeds before you decide to buy. What ever you do good luck.
