Windlass for 280SC setup?
I'm looking into a windlass for a 280SC. Appears to require underdeck (anchor locker hatch) install and additional bow anchor mount. Stainless rhode slide in place. Experienced mechanic has not seen this make/model in northeast Atlantic (but loves the boat/ride/handling) and needs to know how this has been done before attempting. any info/manuals/models/etc and other info out there? Thanks!!

Maxwell unit
Hey!
Our 320LSC has a Maxwell unit. I was able to go to their site on-line and download all the info. Let me know if you need more assistance.

PQ Windlass
Thanks! I would be forever indebted if you could get a picture of the setup from the front/top (at least). It will ensure the install goes right - these were installed at the factory and the maker is Grand Products (custom). If they have none, or it costs too much to re-tool for one, maybe I can get by with another brand...but we need to 'see it'. THANKS!!! JR

Pics will be useful...
It appears there is room between the rear hinge of the anchor locker hatch and the back 'wall' of the anchor locker to drop the unit behind the hatch thru the deck, for the low profile RC 6 (you have the 8 I believe). I have 2 - 1,000 crank amp batts and a solar charger, so should be OK with wire gauge and power (no genset). All pics/help appreciated. I have a stainless 'channel' that a rode/line can rub against as the achor is lifted/hauled by a 90 pound girlfriend on the bow in a massive current/breeze... no explanation as to the need for the windlass now... Thanks again. JR

Had to work last weekend (which is a good thing!) but we will be back on the boat tomorrow. I'll get and send pics then.
FYI; the bow/anchor locker on the 320 is huge. The windlass motor fits inside no problem
