Worked on the 38 PQ over winter
 

Spring of 2009 bought a 2002 38 PQ with 500 efi's and xz drives. Decided over winter to bling it out a little. Sanded the deck and front half of sides with 600,800,1000,1200,1500 then buffed it, painted the galvanized trailer black, fixed scatches on the boat and repainted what I had to, put in a power stern light, had Mitcher T paint the dash panels, bought new Livorsi guages from Elite Marine and a new steering wheel, had the interior accented in red, had a friend of mine put ac and heat in it.

PQ man is in the house, Calvin looks good can't wait to use the shi--er when the air is on this summer. I knew you would see it my way with all the color good choice.

The only thing left is to take it out to Nabber's in Morris, IL. and get the bottom Blue Printed. We did that to our '98 38T/S and there was a noticeable difference in performance and handling.

Taking the boat to mitcher t on saturday. Adding deck graphics, and a little bit of color to the sides, and the decals will be painted on. I will post the pics of what it will look like this week.

Cant wait to see it. You got a great looking 38 i am sure few more touches will only make it better..

Agreed, the powerquest starting at the front coming back doesn't look right. Id switch the writing and graphic were it my boat...

We need to the Powerquest on the drivers side with the P closest to the windshield that way when we pass you on the left you can read it :D

I know you will not like this but I am with tom on this. don't let the guys east of here change your mind. I would say more but the word on the street is we have to be nice to all of calvins threads. :kiss:

I emailed mitch this morning and he is switching the powerquest to the drivers side. I pulled up 38's and looked at them and they all have them on the drivers side. He is sending a revised drawing tomorrow.

I like hearing opinions. I have never done this before so i want it to look right. And yes tom does have great ideas, he does know how to dress up a powerquest.
