Default New Powerquest and offshore guy

Couple of questions i just got a 93 powerquest 27 lazer with twin 350's. Anything special i should know about this boat. And does anybody know about top end of this boat. Owner said 75, im thinking more like 65.

Also the dash and gauges are kind out of date, anybody got any websites for this. Im looking for plug and play application, i am hanndy, but do not want to do a bunch of cutting new wiring etx.

Speaking from experience I dont think the 270 hull is a real speed demon. It does great at handling the big waves and chop. My 270 has the 502 and I have been told that the single 502 will out perform the twin 350's because of the extra weight and drag of two motors and outdrives. On a good day when the moon and stars are alinged I can hit 65 (gps) with stock everything. I think if you get anywhere hear that you are doing good.

Speaking of which... Any 270 owners out there have any prop advise? I have a 3 blade 23p on mine and I'm thinking of getting a 4 blade. Any suggestions?

My old 270 Laser with 502 mag was right around 65 max, the twin 350 boats are a bit slower, best bet for the gauge panels is mitcher t, he has done a bunch of the PQ's on here and does a very nice job. Post some pics of the new boat so we can see it and good luck and enjoy the season.
