Anyone have a 38 Avenger with 525 efi's in it? If so what is your top speed......

Read a test of one with 575's and if I can remember right they got 86 out of it... low 82-84 sounds about right I would say depending on prop

The 38's couldn't handle the 525's so mercury couldn't authorize pq to put them in. The 525's are way to much power for you to handle they would only get you to the island faster which would mean even less running time for you.

The 38 PQ I've been in with 525SC's ran 78 - 79 MPH when I GPS'd it. Ran 76 - 77 MPH in the Shootout back in 2005.
