Hi all, I just bought a tired old 185 that I found on cl. Just wonder what power can go in these safely. I have a 385 hp 454 that I'm thinking of putting in this. Also can the alpha handle this power being a small boat? I am an experienced boater and don't break drives on a regular basis. I just want this to be a fun reliable easy to tow and good on gas kinda boat thanks

We sold our house and moved the first of December to something a little smaller with a nice in-law suite. A couple of small renos later and the inlaws are all moved in.....my garage went from 1200 square feet to about 400.... So it's been challenging to set up my new glorified shed! Moving two families has had me running busy!! |
Hows the PQ family dealing with winter? I know im goin nuts waiting for spring. Just drinkin some beer talkin boats with a buddy tonight and thought id check up on you all.

Cabin fever setting in pretty bad here!!! :fear:
I was able to 'buy' extra vacation time for this year so I'm trying to plan/maximize my boating season. :drink: |
Winter is one thing, but rain, then 16 degrees. Uncle-I give!!!

Still about two feet of snow here! |
Long winter for sure...a week in tampa and a quick run down to the Detroit boat show sure helped. On one hand I can't wait for the warm weather but on the other still a heck of a lot of "winter" projects to finish up before boating season!
