Any Powerquest owners out there that own a 2000 or newer Vyper with 500's??

Interested in selling?

Hey verbie, are you geting back on the PQ bandwagon? I am with ya looking all different manufactures for the 33-35 foot range. If I stick with a windsheild boat I still like the vyper the most as long as it has a step hull. The 38 listed on oso seems like a decent boat with blue power but that is getting a little to big for me to leave in my driveway.

SpecialK, I hear you about not wanting to leave the boat in the driveway, I don't want to either. I want a windshield boat for a few reasons, I know the fairing boats look the coolest but I like the windshield for the weather protection.
I looked at an '09 Fountain Lightning, wicked boat just not enough room for what we need, an ;01 Donzi 33zx, again wicked boat but next to nothing for storage and the little smoked windscreen was blury as hell, the head was shallow.
Looked at a 2004?? Formula Fastech, again nice boat but really didnt do it for me. I dont like the fridge hidden away in a compartment. I would consider one with big power though.
Made the mistake of looking at a '98 Vyper and the lady loves the room of the cuddy, she could stand up in it.
We love our Silencer so a little bigger boat staying with the Powerquest might be the way we go.
I have read that 2000+ model years will run 78 mph with 496 HO's. Nothing wrong with that.
So I think that I am screwed with my next move up..
There is a nice 2002 Vyper with black, yellow and orange graphic same as mine listed here for 89k, kinda like that one.

Aj, nothing wrong with those speeds. I believe the 2002 model year hulls are 3-5 mph faster with the same power due to the improvements made to the hull. Mid 80's with a Vyper would be a keeper for me!!

I trailer my 38 every weekend no matter where I go. I have a 2500HD Duramax extended cab straight axle. I have air bags on it, truck doesn't squat an inch. Plenty of power and with good trailer brakes its no big deal at all. It cruises 75-80mph at 12mpg. I've actually pulled it with a Ford dually powerstroke and hated it. Truck squatted and it kept downshifting.
