I just bought the boat last fall, but this is well within my mechanical capability. Time might be the issue. For the winter, I left the boat in the previous owners rack storage building till 4/15, but have to have it out by 5/1. The good thing is that the "entire" cockpit interior is sitting in my basement completely recovered. So, access is a bit better, but I got a little concerned when I found ou the fuel lines are tied to the fuel pump which is all on the Sea Pump. Since, its used (1995) I don't know how buggered up the line fittings are or the bolts on the pump. Since, I bought it the last week of September and only had it out once, I really wasn't able to take a good look at everything.
I appreciate your feedback....

I have yet to make a decision about bringing the boat from ABM to Toledo Beach Marina, which will be "home" for this boat. I don't have a truck to pull it to my home in Celina, OH. which would be ideal (as far as working on it). One option is to drive it from Algonac to TBM and just do all the work there. I'd at least have to put the bolsters in prior to driving it down which would be no big deal. A lot of unanswered questions at the moment.
Thanks for the "help" offer - I may take you up on it. If nothing else, maybe we could boat together this summer....

Lightning Jet,
Your reply indicates that Lost Peninsula Marina stores boats on lifts? Or did I mis-interpet your response? I've looked for "outside rack storage" and thought TMB is the only facility in the area that offers this. They gave me a price of $314/month -paying monthly. This is ideal for me out of the water, but not at the cost of Inside Storage. I also still have a vision of storing the boat at or near my home for the winter, so this is why I'm going month-month. Please advise if Lost Peninsula offers the same and at what cost.

johnny b good,
I bought my 95 Avenger in late September that was for sale - you might know it since you are at ABM and that's where the boat was stored. Last fall, I pulled the entire cockpit interior out and had it re-covered and its sitting down the basement. I cleaned the bottom of the boat where in spots it had an ugly build-up probably from abuse in the past. Boat exterior is in decent shape for the age, motor rebuilds have less than a 100 hrs on them, drives were taken off, gone thru and re-alinged during installation. So the interior (in my mind) was the downer of this boat - which now has been rectified.
Do you know any history on this boat - good, bad or indifferent? since you have a 97 - any words of wisdom/advice?
