34 vyper filler cushion
I am looking for a white vinyl filler cushion for a 2002 34 vyper.Does anybody know of one for sale? Or if anyone knows were i can get one? Also If someone can post a picture of the filler cushion, intalled between the u seating area and maybe the bottom of it and how it mounts, so if i need to make one myself. Thanks.

I have filler cushions in my 290... they are mounted with dowell rods across the opening and when not in all u can see is the mounts. They are filler cushions cut length wise so its easier to remove, I can take pics soon, would be easy to duplicate

My 270 is the same as the 290, rods run across the seats then the seat bottoms and backs all lift and move in. |

Do you have pictures were and how the rods mount in place between the u seating? If you can post them ,that would be great. I want to make sure I know how to do this, so I can make a table & filler cushion.
Thank you. |

Thank you. Verbi, got a measuring tape handy? also, how tall is each tube? Piersupply.com has some good prices and better choices/descriptions. |
My cushion sits on the table which uses the shorter table post.
Can't tell you what size/ length until I get the boat home... |

Thanks. Instead of the dowl rod approach (which my 29 had), I built a PVC frame for the filler cushion. I did a paper template to have the cushion made. Used the same template for a 3/4 plywood base. Kept the base separate from the cushion for ease of storage and moving around. I put the plywood based on the cushions in the vberth and throw the filler cushion anywhere to get out of the way. Basically the pvc base is in the shape of 2 Hs connected togther. Works great. I just fit the base together when needed and take apart to store. If interested send me your email address and I will send some pictures. Jeff |
Verbi69 , Do you have your boat home yet? Can you post some pictures of the table and filler cushion and show how it mounts as a table and a cushion. What keeps it in place, and is ther a shorter poll for the cushion, like you use for the table?
|
Yes the boat is home but it's in a garage 15 or so minutes away from me....sorry I had forgotten you were looking for pics.
I'll head there tomorrow after work and snap some shots. There is a shorter pole that attaches to the table. I'll post them up tomorrow. |

This pic is a little clearer...

Thanks for the info!
The two options/projects that I want to add...table and then shower. Marinas out here have limited facilities... |
No problem, let me know if you need more pics...
|
Is the filler cushion just supported by the pedestal or does the table top slide under side cushions to support the ends? Thanks for the pictures that shows me what I need to do.
|
The table table attaches to the pedestal which then sits into the floor, throw the filler cushion on top of the table and there you have it.
Not the most sturdiest imo though. |
Does Anyone Have A Table & Filler Cushion They Want To Sell?

Hey Verbi, I see the one is 15.25 inches. What diameter? Also, what length for the table?
Thanks! |

Thanks! I bought the OEM parts for the table minus the table top (and short tube, no longer avlb). The tube is 76mm or 2.99" od., tapered on the bottom to fit in the base and a collar on the top for the table support to clip onto. I found all the p/n's on the Taco Metals' website but they don't sell retail. They referred me to WM; I gave WM the p/n's but when they quoted the prices they told me the shorter tube was NLA. Since the table was my only priority I didn't look any further for the short tube. If I need the second berth then I could alway get another long tube and have it cut down.
I just did a cut n paste to give you the p/n's. I thought the same, buy bigger and cut it down so it is 100% the correct length. Appreciate the help, another project for the list!!! |
Good work boys.

Also, I bought the table top off eBay, same one they used in the boats. Emailed them direct and offered 100 shipped and they accepted. They now have 7 left, just an FYI. I bought one of the poles from them too for 40. Then, the piece in the floor, the bracket that attaches to the table top. And the plug that covers the hole in the floor piece when not in use I got online from Fisheries Supply in WA. 140, free shipping. The other needed pole was an eBay find too for 35. So for all pieces to do the table and bed EXCEPT for the cushion cost me 315 bucks. Not too bad. |
Just curious about drilling the hole in the floor...also, thought you were building, not buying the table top. Thanks for the info...located and ordering a table top ASAP!

I intended on building the table top, but when I saw them on eBay even at the asking price of 124 bucks I knew my time and materials would be way more than that so I just bought one. ( also, I think it matches the counter top in the boat already but not real good with colors ) My wife moved this task up on the priority list so I think I should be complete within a month. ( no it won't take a month but need a free Saturday afternoon ) |
Okay, so I ordered the table top this morning...
Extremely happy to have the OEM piece! :bunnydance: Thanks for the tip; next time I'm in the Motor City beers are on me! :ernaehrung004: |
