Bill, I dont know what your talking about. We have your 2002 vyper, and last year in the LOTO the boat handled the 3-4waves on the shootout weekend with no problem, Yes you need to drive at the correct speed too slow ie. 35mph and you can feel the boat hit the waves harder then if driving thr boat at 50mph but 34 foot vyper rocks.

a good day here where i do all my boating is a 2-4 foot chop. id say 40-50% of the time im in a min of 4 footers and id say atleast 3-4 times a year im in 6-8's and in my 26 its bad. like 15 mph just barly on plan and air born!! my buddy on his 38 hustler went by me at about 70 and met me at home lol
boating on the ocean in new england sucks. lol

Your saying that your buddy went by you in a 38 hustler at 70 mph in 6 to 8 footers??????????
