One other thing, the temp on this thing runs about 170 all the time, 175 on a hard run. A fair amount of steam after a hard run. It has a 160 tstat in it, so to me in my automotive world, it would seem pretty normal. Put 40 hours on it this summer never missing beat. I see lots of threads on here about temp and opinions are all over the map. I was planning on a new impeller in the spring, just because. Just curious on thoughts. Newbie stuff.

I am not a big fan of just draining the water. It seems to be more prone to corrosion if empty. I go overkill on things, I drain the water, run coolant thru it and then store it in a heated buiding.

I filled it with green antifreeze, for that reason. I just didn't put it in the post.
