Tru. My 280 does better on fuel than my old carb boat tho. The 502 MPI even when running it hard uses less gas than the 350 mag carb that was in my old 20' boat. I was shocked. I guess theres no waisted fuel like in the carb engine.

So maybe I can come and take that pesky 380 off your hands for about 50 grand as long as she's empty!

The fountain will be by far the fastest and the smallest of the three. Probably the cheapest as well. The powerquest will be a good value and probably the slowest. The active thunder is in a completely different league. The AT will be the most expensive. A smaller fountain is strictly a speed machine in calm water. The powerquest is a good compromise between speed and comfort and can run in bigger lakes and oceans. The active thunder is custom offshore hull made for mashing big water. Three different boats for three different purposes. I'm a fan of all of them just depends how your going to use it.

I disagree on the Fountain being the cheapest. I just bought my PQ a few months ago and was set on a 27 fever. the best deal i found on a fountain was 3 96 models for 24.500, 26.000, and 28.500. Two of them were standard with 502 mpi. and the cheapest had a 500hp carb. And I bought my 2000 280 silencer for 22.000. So i got a PQ 4 years newer and bigger for 2500 to 6500 less than the 27 fever. And i shopped all summer to find thoes deals.

LOL. Just a little. I found the boat on E Bay. Guy had his num listed so i called him and asked what his bottom dollar was. He said he was going thru a divorse and he just payed it off at the bank for 22. And he then made the comment that he would give it away before he would let that ***** take it in the divorce so he said 22 would buy it.....So i packed up and drove 10 hours strait to North Carolina the next day and bought it. 45 min after i picked it up i was crusing 2 miles off shore down folly beach......And it also had a full tank of gas++++WINNING!!
