Your boat weighs 4250 lbs. That lift may not be big enough for your boat. Once you add fuel and gear, you'll be over the lift limits.

That's to bad. I sold my 5000 lb lift in the begining of this season. I wasn't comfortable with it anymore.

How do you mean-"not comfortable anymore" not heavy enough?

Get at least a 6k lb lift,,by the time you add fuel, gear and all the other bs that goes along with boating the 257/260 legend gets pretty heavy.

This summer I weighed my 257 BR and trailer, then the trailer alone - the boat weighed 4950 lbs with half a tank of fuel and the usual boating crap. No idea if the BR weighs more / less than the cuddy.

That weight sounds about right. The BR weighs about 75 lbs less than the cuddy. I snapped a (newer) cable on my 5000 lbs lift. I agree about the 6000 lb lift.

At my marina the smallest ones thay will let you use are the 6500lb lifts. but thay are all Hydro Lift. Thay use air to float the lift. and all thoes have smaller BRs on them 24 and under. all the upper 20s and 30s have the larger 10k lifts. maybe just a safety percaution IDK?
