LOL...my wife is starting to think the same thing as well, she's having second thoughts about moving into the cruiser world.
I haven't formally listed the boat yet and with spring right around the corner might not do so.
I think we will head your way this summer and explore your playground....maybe terrorize Kidd a little...lol.

Haters!? no way; A/T's look cool, well equipped, handle the rough...sorry the sunny's just looked like a cottage lake run-about. Congrats again on the move!

Oops...Hi-jack...

Verbi, don't sell! I drive 9 hours to my boat...having the trailer will let me explore other lakes and come back East for a blast!

My better half said the same thing last night.....she doesn't want to move into the cruiser world.....the sagga continues.

Verbi: My two cents: I am coming from the "slipped cruiser" world. We became bored to death running out of the same area. Yes, it is more convenient, but grew "old" over time. There is no perfect answer, and to each his own. But, I am looking forward to having the flexibility to move around, especially in an Avenger!

That's exactly what I'm afraid of...getting bored with the same location, routine, etc.
The room in the Avenger is awesome!!

vista268 02-03-2012 07:44 PM

Plus, after experiencing the ride of your Avenger, the cruiser is going to pound you! The 358 you are looking at is a nice boat (I have been in 318's, 358's, 378's, and a good friends 435) and you will miss the ride. Once tied to the dock, the cruisers are fantastic. Getting there is the difference!

I must say thats one Gorgeous Avenger you have!.......When I am ready to get out of mine ( which I am very happy with) I would like to get into a newer stepped hull Avenger with bigger power

My favorite color schemes both paint and upholstery that I've ever seen on a PQ! Love this boat! Did PQ do paint in house after they got away from colored gel?

Thanks J!
As far as I know from discussing the topic is that PQ did their painting in house after moving away from gelcoat graphics.

...love that boat!!...i'll be checking my lottery tickets this afternoon!

pq260ho 02-05-2012 11:51 AM

Ok I gotta ask what is the ticket for this AWESOME LOOKING RIDE? What the speed on this ride?

4bus 02-05-2012 12:24 PM

Verb,

You may be having a problem with international billing of your CC, those damn Canadian online casinos caused a change in laws :)

If you can't get it billed let me know, I will list it on my account with your contact info, you can pay pal me or send a check.....I know (think) you're good for it :lolhit:

I just sold my cruiser, and am going back to a roomy go-fast...I few things I learned while having a cruiser.

1. You will miss the noise, even worse when you hear another go fast, twice as worse when it is your friends

2. Fuel mileage is WORSE! You will be running twice as long to get anywhere, and pushing a bigger load, its worse, hands down

3. Driving the boat is no longer "fun" I forgot how much fun it was getting there and getting home, I think I missed that the most

4. Attention- This can be a good or bad thing. Don't expect people to line up to help you dock, like they do with a flashy go-fast, you blend into the crowd. No ohs and ahhs with a cruiser.....if you are into that thing. But, the cops don't look either

5. You know when you take the long way around the island with a go fast, or do a fly by past your destination because you just don't want to turn it off? That will be replaced by a trip that takes twice as long, you get bored knowing that the tabs, trims, and throttles are set and really do not need your attention. Soon you realize that cross wakes do not require attention, and you wonder why your hand is even on the wheel. You can't wait to park it and get away from the boring helm. At the end of the day everyone wants to go to "xxxxxx" and most of them have go fasts, you agree, everyone leaves, and by the time you get there the docks are full.

I HATED IT!

verbi69 02-05-2012 12:46 PM

Thanks for the offer Bus but the site didn't make provision for CC payment after I filled out the description and loaded pics, I must have done something "canuck" wrong..lol.

The old lady's throwing things at me now yelling "See, I told you....", I read her your 1 thru 5, points.....

I think she really doesn't want to part with it....lol.

verbi69 02-05-2012 12:46 PM

Bus, those were some really good points btw, thanks!!

Lots of Benjamins, speed wise I have been told by the previous owner the boat will run 83-85.
I personally have not run it to those speeds, this boat is my first twin set up and the time behind the helm has been limited, and of course a learning curve as well.

Um, let me think lol

1 not worrying if it is super clean and shiny
2 huge head
3 6 ft head room, plus
4 storage, everywhere, and an aft cabin for more storage

Forgot two other bad points

1 towing is horrible
2 wife missed the sun deck, most cruisers have the back seat facing forward which stinks for hanging out in a bay

verbi69 02-05-2012 04:24 PM

The cruiser lets you get lazier or is it more work??
At least you can wash and wax the go fast at home...
And your right....getting to a spot is most of the fun....

boatnt 02-05-2012 07:17 PM

Well...I think we all agree...fast boats are bad and slow cruisers are cool..:lolhit:

That last message was from my phone, not sure if I got my point across, I'll try again :D

Imagine driving a ferrari to work every day, on the back roads.

One day that ferrari is replaced with a mini-van with leather seats, a couch, tv, and wet bar in the back. You now drive the highway to work.

When you reach a point in your life, when you think it is just stupid, and ridicilous to drive that ferrari to work, you are ready for a cruiser!

This is just my opinion of course. But Verb, you love muscle cars, have a sick one of a kind boat, something tells me you will regret the day you sell it. Plus, oso won't even be fun anymore. You will have guys with 24 liberators calling you out! :eekdrop:

ImaPoser 02-05-2012 07:42 PM

Why not buy a lift and keep this on it wherever you would be putting a cruiser?

vista268 02-05-2012 09:04 PM

Verbi: Keeping a boat in the water is hard on it. I kept mine in a covered slip and it was still a lot of work trying to keep it in the type of condition I was happy with. An uncovered slips beats them up pretty good with sun fade, etc. So, to my way of thinking, it is still a ton of work with a boat in a slip.

No wonder when I rode on my buddies cruiser he let (made) me take the wheel...while he disappeared down below to make drinks and snacks; opening a beer and bag of Doritos shouldn't take an hour. LOL!

Just like my user name Need-4-Speed...cars, boats, sleds. Yes, I've taken the long way to work in my Mustang many times! But what kind of car does the best burn-out?...a rental of course!

Verbi, we have one of the best go-fast 'compromise' boats out there in this length...lots of performance with almost all the cruiser amenities!

Cost us a fortune here for covered slips and not sure if the marina's are open to the idea.....good thought though!

I'm rethinking my needs now!!
80 mph at will, and air at the docks.....what more do I really need??
