Yes Diesel tips,,,was able to get all 4 shipped for $200.00,,,Gibsons are about $600.00 per engine,,,dont see why this would not work,,there nice stainless tips,,,

I agree. That tip doesn't know if it is on a boat or a truck. Looks good. .
any concerns you think I should have???,,the tips have the internal water shutters/flappers,,and turn downs clear steering in all trim positions....am I missing anything? |
My only observation, as I'm not sure if it would be a concern, is that most turn downs are angle-cut to the rear.
http://www.gibsonmarine.com/turndowns.html I don't think your tips could scoop up any water coming onto or off of plane. Do you always blurp the throttles just as the boat settles at the stern when you come off plane? |

I know what you mean about the reverse slash cut on the gibsons,,if anything I thought the gibsons might be a issue when getting boat off trailer at the ramp or when you come off plane and get the wake hitting the back of the boat,, I though with the constant exhaust flow/pressure it should keep water from going in the exhaust and also the riser is much higher but dont really know for sure... any input would be great |
