Default Pulling engines in a 34' Vyper

I am planning on pulling the 500efi's in my 34' PQ Vyper this fall and have the top end refreshed. My question is, there is so little room around the engines how do you get to the front motor mounts to unbolt them. I am planning to pull the CMI's on both engines first hoping that will open things up. Any advise from somebody who has done it would be great.

It is a little bit of a pain to get in there but less painful than trying to pull the exhaust first. I use a combinatin wrench and you are able to get in there from the front of the motors an eighth of a turn at a time. Good Luck.

I am planning on doing my top ends this winters also.
Is it really that bad taking the heads off in the boat as opposed to yanking the engines??

Verbi save the hazzle and yank the motors, you won't regret it

Guess i'm feeling lazy and really don't want to go through the trouble of yanking them.
I imagine it is easier to pull the engines and do the tear down on an engine stand as opposed to tearing into them in the boat.

Have Tom up for some of the good beer he will be looking for a winter project. Says he is not going to do a thing to the fountain so he should have plenty of time on his hands this winter. Lol.

From what I've read (through the various threads), maybe he'd prefer wine coolers!
