The only issue i could see is speed. Mine is an early 00 and I have had no issues. With the 500efi's I get 72mph and as I understand after the hull change they were seeing upper 70 to lower 80. You can tell the diff. by looking at the transom under the lift eyes. The older hulls had about 3" under the
eye, the later hulls had about 1 1/2"from the eye to the bottom.

If your hull is the later design It looks exactly like my 2000.
I thought they changed the 34' and the 38'in early 2001. Now i am confused maybe somebody can straight this out with good info.

I see it now !! Look at the dim. above the lifting eye !!!

I'm not sure about the 34' but for the 38' the big difference in the hull is the inner strake. The early hulls the strake went all the way to the transom; later (and fixed ones) the inner stake ends approx. 20" before the transom.
I've noticed in pic's of 38's the swim platform extensions and lift eye height changed in '03? Higher and no scupper.

Pic 1 unknown, Pic 2 Verbi's 380, Pic 3 my 380

Yup, I see too. The top of the eye, not the bottom. Nice catch!

I also can say I bought that used trailer for a 99 Vyper and the outer most bunks were perfect, the inner or should I say middle bunks needed to be reworked and made higher.

OP, what's your budget for a Vyper?
