The only issue i could see is speed. Mine is an early 00 and I have had no issues. With the 500efi's I get 72mph and as I understand after the hull change they were seeing upper 70 to lower 80. You can tell the diff. by looking at the transom under the lift eyes. The older hulls had about 3" under the
eye, the later hulls had about 1 1/2"from the eye to the bottom. I thought they changed the 34' and the 38'in early 2001. Now i am confused maybe somebody can straight this out with good info. I see it now !! Look at the dim. above the lifting eye !!! |

I've noticed in pic's of 38's the swim platform extensions and lift eye height changed in '03? Higher and no scupper. Pic 1 unknown, Pic 2 Verbi's 380, Pic 3 my 380 |
