boathead visiting
Boathead and his crew are up here in the north pole visiting, I called him when I got home from work and he was right out in front of my house. When he came into the beach I got a good picture of the boat.

Peter, How come you're the only one who will take a picture?
Peter,
How come you're the only one who will take a picture of the Powerquest? My two boating comrades never bring a camera on vacation!
Good to see you again, and glad I could meet Jen, she is a real sweetheart! I wish we could have seen more of you two!
Friday, my two cohorts bailed out and went home, but we decided to stick around and check out Marquette, I would have come over, but didn't want to interfere with the birthday party that Jen said you were having. We walked over to Upfront and the other bar across main St. and had some drinks and dinner, which of course spelled my demise(I fell asleep @ 9:30 pm!). Also cruised up to the Presque Isle Marina which was also suitable, plus they have that nice park up there.
Saturday we went to Houghton, just missed your mom and dad, I looked on the log book, they left that day! We ended up going to Copper Harbor instead of the Apostles, because the waves were 3-5 feet and Mike(the 31' Sonic) had a broken oil cooler line(which had let go twice) but we got it patched up OK. That new marina is Fantastic, can't wait to go back-stayed there two nights, everyone loved it up there.
Then we went to Baraga for a night, man was it hot, 101 degrees by the marina, so we went for a swim in L'Anse Bay, nice and cold, man that felt good, then went to Ojibwa casino for some cheap drinks and to cool off.
Wed a.m. we took off for Munising(Mike and Deana have never been to Pic. Rocks) and also went to Murray Bay on the Island and viewed the Bermuda Wreck(this was an amazing sight, that thing is still in great condition for being towed there in the 1800's). Went back out to the rocks for another tour and Mike ran out of gass on the way back so Jack (Scarab)got to be the hero and tow him in to Munising.
And, of course, Friday back to Marquette.
That Cinder Pond is a great marina, like Kemp in S.S. Marie, and Copper Harbor gotta be 3 of my favorites. How come you UPers have so many cool marinas? I sure hope Grand Haven does theirs up like these. I'm tired of having to go to so many dumpy marinas down here. As much as all the Great Lakes are cool, none can compare to Superior! We'll be back........
I wanna be a Uper,
boathead aka Paul
