and do not forget about the overwhelming wakeboard crowd in DFW. the sportboat crowd is long gone in DFW. Its all pontooners and wakeboarders. I still can't believe that people are buying pontoons 30k to 100k and wakeboard boats from 80k to 150k but you can not give a sportboat away in our neck of the woods.

Bert if you really need the boat checked out I could always fly out. Trust me you really need to get someone that is very highly recommended hopefully in the area. Also be careful as some will work in favor for the selling dealer. Also if this a bank repo boat and many dealers rep them across the country, they can care less about any of the mechanical condition.

So you're saying Cobalt owner's carry Grey Poupon on their rides?! :lolhit:

Have you looked at any 277 Baja's? That is one of the few open bows left with stand up bolster seats. Crownline made a very, very few of their 270 bow riders in 2003 and 2004 with bolsters like they had in their 266's.

The 2007 Baja 277 is a nice boat, but I don't want to drop that kind of money, I can have a 2750 Lavey Craft MCOB converted into a walk through for what the Baja would run. I know, not many to choose from.

Thanx John, but I'm going to skip this one, for a 2005 it looks like a 1995, just my luck!

msjbtex who lives in Vegas tripped over to see the boat. It's a dog, he the ENTIRE interior would need to be replaced. The boat was a beached boat, the keel is gouged all the way past the gel into the glass. He said the nicest looking part of the boat was the engine. He said he wouldn't pay $20k for it, and I doubt they'll let it go for $17k that will be my offer. Kicked in the balls once again! Oh yeah F*ck Cobalt!

Actually, it makes my soon to be old '95 look like showroom condition....

And thats not counting what has to be done on the motor side. never seen a used boat that did not need at least 5 things to be addressed whether all minor or maybe something major, its always something. IMO that motor looks to have been running a tad hot at sometime on top of.
