i would pass for that money... just the obvious is going to really cost you, and then there is always the not so obvious that sneaks up on you... which sometimes ends up costing more
why is it in that condition in the first place? have you made contact with the owner?

Not yet, wanted to see if anyone here knew the boat first. I've been chatting with Glassdave, if I'm gonna buy it, he's gonna convert it to a bow rider and I'll put in my own power.

Ohh man... You may as well go with the original bowrider if you're going to out that much money into it, glass Dave does great work but wow are you going to pay for something like that. I mean, you could easily go way above and beyond the boats worth in a heartbeat. But in the end, its what you want, don't let anyone tell you how to spend your money.

No bolsters and priced...well, interestingly priced.
Screw the BR and go 290!

I've talked with this owner several times. It would be an ok deal for a couple grand less. The drive is 1.36 so not right for this boat, the hatch and rear seat back are not there, and I'm not a huge fan of the paint work (was repainted, thats why its stripped). had it been a 290 I would have picked it up but a 26 might be a tough sale when done. Be the 20s for sure by the time your done.

I don't want anything bigger than a 26, I was really pushing it with the 29' Lavey so I'd rather be within the range my tow package can handle. I didn't go outside my lake very often with my 29 unless there were several other boat owners going and we switched vehicles. Never wanted to take the risk on the highway.
The 26 sit down on boattrader is nice, but the guy is on crack for asking for $50k. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...end-SLS-348951
