Not sure if anyone can help me, but we have a 1989 power play 230 conquest and recently bought trim tabs for it (12x12 lenco standard performance tabs). Where is the best location to mount the tabs on the boat? We recently bored the engine (now a 383 stroker producing between 400-425hp and bravo 1 outdrive). Any information is appreciated.

Is this a new to you boat, why do you think tabs are needed? We had the same model with a variety of power and never needed tabs. If I were to add a pair I would mount them as far out as possible and parallel to the hull at that point.

I would mount them in the same area as Powerquest230 mentioned. I installed a set of Lenco 12x12 tabs on my old Crownline 230CCR. If you follow the instructions that came with the tabs then you will be alright. They made a big difference with getting on plane quicker and it was nice being able to level the boat when people would move around while cruising. It was well worth the money

Thank you for the help. We have had the boat for awhile. We wanted the tabs to help get on plane quicker (doing more skiing lately) and the fact that it will be easier to level the boat with more people on board. Will they do anything for speed at WOT?
