Default garriff shift control lube points??

have a 90 enticer and it seems that the shifters are harder than what they should be. I have had this boat for about 3 yrs, it has garriff shifter assys, new shift cables from engines to drives, is there any lube points or friction adjustments on these controls, my wife is having troubles getting these in gear and it does seem little too stiff??? Thanks!

problem is in the rear of the boat,,,you need to remove the rear upper cap on the drive and lube the check ball spring assembly...

No not lubed by gear lube,,drain gear lube,,remove the 3 bolts and break detend ball free from spring and apply grease,,seal is reuseable,,refill gear lube..

i looked at the breakdown on this...just the detent ball, no need to lube any linkage or shift fork? will this repair make a noticable difference in shift effort??Thanks for the info, I will replace gaskets when i do it, my local guy has kits at about $10 for each drive..Thanks again!
