Now its time to start cleaning this boat and get ready for a launch. You know an issue on why boats for sale now are so over priced is take this boat for example: The broker list the boat at X and I purchase for H which is way lower than the listing price. The broker then list it on the website as sold and still leaves the original listing price, so all others wanting to sell see that and think well if he can get X for that boat, then I'm going to charge this....all setting false expectations in the market place.

Yea me too, I already told him I will not be able to go boating with him anymore. The good thing is I won't be too far behind, he does have 150HP on me.

During the sea trial we were both very surprised how fast the 380 popped out of the hole. Both my 300 and his old 290 plow water for what seems like ever and they are very easy to over power and blow out the props. Anyone have any insight as to why? Just more running surface?

The 380 does pop right up out of the water. My 1997 only has 502's and 25p 3-blades. Move the sticks up to 3000RPM and she really jumps right up on plane without tab either. Over 3000rpm, it will blow out. Would love to drive a newer one with bigger power.

What will the stepped hull with HP 500 EFI's run? I had mine at 69mph GPS during the sea trial on Lake Michigan last year when i bought it. Was a very windy day with 4-5' chop and we were not running much trim due to my inexperience. The ride quality sold me, even though the Missouri River never gets that rough. I think it could have topped 70. It will never run that now that the wife has packed it full!

had 2 300s with HOs a good friend has a 2002 380 with 500 efi..not to take anything away from your buddys boat but,,,,you got him by a couple of miles...

one of my 300s came with the shims on the trim rams backward and would be slow getting on plane,,once I figured it out and switched them the boat would pop on plane,,
the 300 has a pretty long running surface,,look it your swim platform

I think I got the Friday version of the HO's that only put out like 390HP, I see guys talking about 80-81GPS on the 300 mine 74-76GPS speedo doesn't really seem to matter on load. 28p bravo 1's 4950-5000RPM fully trimed out, only seems to change a little when I pull trim back to like 5 or 4. No tabs, maybe that is what I am missing.

I am thinking he is going to close to 78-80 with the 500's.
