Would he be looking to move into a 38 Avenger by any chance??
I'm up for a trade...

Yep, that's mine. We love the boat. Had her up to 65mph with about 1/4 tank of gas and two people on board. I think I can squeeze 2 or 3 more mph out of her if the conditions were just right. We always get a ton of compliaments on her, especially when I start it as every one turns around with that surprised look on their face as they can't believe a 280 cruiser looking boat sounds like a "go fast". Many of the people I've run with also are surprised on how well I can keep up with their go fasts, although I prefer to just sit back and cruise around 40mph. Sorry Verbi69, but we have no plans on selling her at this time.

Brad

Brad, very nice speeds, and boat.
So the other 280 SC with 496's I found is a 2003, looks like they made a couple with good power.

Brad, is the interior of your boat black and white??
You mentioned in the other thread you added 300 lbs to the bow, why did you feel the need to do that??

Yes, the interior is black and white. The 496HO engines make the boat very stern heavy which caused porposing, even with the outdrives tucked in and the tabs all the way down. Placing the extra weight in the bow fixed the issue and allows me to not run with the tabs all the way down at all times.

I found a possible candidate. (Actually 2)
One is an 03 320 SC with 496 Mags with the required options and trailer and priced very attractively.
I'd really like one with the mid cabin though mostly for the storage but the ones I've come across have the small block 6.2's and I'm not sure I want small block power.
The other is an 05 with mid cabin, 6.2's, no trailer, from the pictures would need a lot of scrubbing and cleaning, but priced very attractively as well.
