Has anyone ever re-keyed a PowerQuest sliding door with a MAG lock? Evidently, MAG went out of business, so there's no one to contact there. My boat didn't come with a key to the cabin door, and I took it to a locksmith to re-key it but they used the wrong blank (too short). The tumbler turns, but the lock doesn't turn the mechanism b/c it's too short. Maybe someone with a MAG lock on their boat could send me a picture of their key (minus the grooves of course) so I could see how long it is and what it looks like so I can try to match it. I really don't want to replace the mechanism since it fits the door and looks original if I don't have to.

My opinion is ALWAYS leave the cabin door UNLOCKED. Reason being that of someone wants in, they will get in....and most likely cause significant damage. I just let them in and replace whatever is taken rather than try to get a door made.
