I helped (well he watched) a friend do sea pumps on his twin big block 290 today. I feel for you guys. Removed the bracket as an entire assembly. Drained and replaced gear lube and put in new impeller kits. A bit of a challenge at first, but the second one went much faster once I knew how to position myself for access. I sure do appreciate the extra room in my 380 Avenger for maintenance!

I love how much room my 380 has in engine compartment. Couple things that are against stringers on sides are still a PITA but being able to stand in front of the engines helps a ton.
